Case study

Rabafast

Rabafast is a multi-currency payment platform for businesses (SMEs and larger companies) to run cross-border payouts. It supports multicurrency wallets, foreign-exchange conversion, and crypto payouts such as USDC. As senior frontend engineer, I spearheaded frontend development and delivered the web dashboard used to manage payments, wallets, and customers.

The Challenge (The “Why”)

Businesses sending money across borders needed one place to manage multicurrency wallets, FX, fiat and crypto payouts (including USDC), and customer relationships without spreadsheets or fragmented tools. The dashboard had to feel fast and trustworthy while surfacing balances, conversion, and settlement state clearly to finance and operations teams.

The Technical Strategy (The “How”)

As senior frontend engineer, I spearheaded the business dashboard as a Next.js application with a component system aligned to Shadcn UI and Tailwind, using the same state split as Dot Business: TanStack Query for data straight from the APIs (wallets, balances, payouts, FX, and related resources), and Redux Toolkit for application state and complex form flows that stayed coherent across refreshes and multi-step payout work. Framer Motion was used sparingly for feedback on key flows.

The Key Features & Contributions

  • Dashboard for monitoring wallets, payouts, balances, FX, and payment lifecycle across currencies (including crypto such as USDC)
  • Workflows for businesses and their customers tied to cross-border payouts and wallet activity
  • Reusable table, filter, and detail views tuned for dense financial data
  • TanStack Query for API-sourced data and Redux Toolkit for app and complex form state, so lists and multi-step flows stayed reliable as companies scaled usage

The Impact (The “Results”)

The dashboard became the operational hub for companies on Rabafast: teams could run payouts, wallet, and FX work in one application instead of patching together external tools, with a UI that stayed approachable as product scope grew.
